Hilo Reeds Bay Hotel, Hilo

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were very clean, although the refrigerator looked a bit rusty, and the bathtub could use some regrouting. The room was kept cool by 2 stand fans and 1 ceiling fan, but I wish there was air conditioning instead of just a ceiling fan and a pedestal fan. The service was great; room service, housekeeping, and laundry were all very efficient. The location was spectacular, close to the beach and some restaurants, away from the hustle and bustle, and it was pretty quiet at night. The dining experience in the area was fine; I especially loved the freshly baked European bread. The facilities were good overall.

The hotel offers a stellar location right beside the ocean and within walking distance to the beach and popular attractions. The rooms, although not in fantastic conditions, provide a million-dollar view of the ocean from windows on two sides. The dining experience is fine, and the sounds of waves lapping at night create a serene ambiance.

The hotel offers a variety of room types including those with king and queen size beds, however, the noise and humidity levels during the night can be bothersome. The rooms are kept clean.

I loved waking up to the awesome views of the bay from my room’s balcony, even though the sound of the water at night was a bit loud. The kitchen in the room was a great addition for added convenience at Hilo Reeds Bay Hotel.

My stay at the hotel was just what we needed for our family. The room was big enough for the four of us and worked perfectly for our needs. It was quiet, away from traffic or noise, and had a refreshing breeze. The location was great, close to the ocean, downtown Hilo, and restaurants, allowing us to explore this part of Hawaii comfortably. The dining options were fine, and overall, it was a sufficient and satisfactory experience.
